"Don't believe anything I say..."

Christine Perez, the Dallas Business Journal, reported on Monday that HUD Secretary told about a conversation he had with a contractor. Because the contractor told Jackson that he didn't like Bush, Jackson cancelled the contractor's award. Once it was pointed out that cancelling the contract based on politics was illegal and unconstitutional, a HUD spokeswoman acknowledged that Jackson told the story. However, she said, the story was untrue. Basically, "Don't believe us! Don't you know that we're lying through our teeth?"
